03 November, 2026

Update Italy

[November 3, 2026] Further to EmIS messages 195/2026, 200/2026 and 204/2026, the designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that postal operations have been restored following the removal of the road blockades in southern Italy.

All parcel collection and acceptance services to and from all regions have now resumed. Mail and parcel delivery services (both domestic and international) are gradually returning to full operational capacity across Italy, with service regularity and delivery timelines being restored progressively.

Poste Italiane will provide a further update via EmIS once all services have returned to normal.
